We offer you a guided walking tour through the historic Berlin. Starting at the main entrance of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin you will stroll along "Unter den Linden", the most famous boulevard in Berlin, passing the State Opera building and St. Hedwig's Cathedral, the first Catholic church built in Prussia after the Reformation. You will also pass by the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt surrounded by the Konzerthaus, the French Cathedral and the German Cathedral. A statue of Germany's poet Friedrich Schiller is situated in the centre of Gendarmenmarkt. On your way back to Humboldt-Universität you will through the Lustgarten (in front of the Altes Museum), and hear about the impressive history of Prussia and enjoy the marvelous view of Berlin Cathedral.

Guided tour of the German "Bundestag"

The Bundestag is Germany's parliament building, located in the centre of Berlin not far from the Brandenburg Gate. During the Cold War it was part of West Berlin, situated directly next to the Berlin Wall. We offer you a guided tour in English language of the German Bundestag. The tour is organized by the Visitors' Service of the German Bundestag. After the tour, you can visit the glass dome on your own. The easy-to-use audio guides that can be obtained on the roof terrace are available in several languages, e.g. German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Given the high security arrangements, it is necessary for us to forward the visitors' full names and dates of birth in advance to the Visitors' Service. The information is needed for entry checks and will be deleted after the visit. Every visitor is requested to bring a valid photographic identification card.

Further information on the history and functions of the German Bundestag can be obtained here.
