We offer you a guided tour in English language of the new Humboldt University Library. It was designed by the Swiss architect Max Dudler. Since the opening in 2009 the library received several awards for the impressive architecture. The grate-like arranged skylights allow a lot of daylight into the library. In the largest of all the reading rooms, the architect designed a cascade like arrangement of the levels. There are 1,250 reading places and a main auditorium available. The readers can choose from a collection of 2.5 million books - the largest open access holdings in Germany.
