Airport Berlin-Tegel (TXL): Berlin-Tegel is the main international airport. It is situated northwest of the city centre and is connected by two express bus services (TXL to Alexanderplatz, X9 to Zoologischer Garten). Both busses pass suburban and underground train lines (S-Bahn: S41/S42, S1, S2, S3, S5, S7, S25, S75; U-Bahn: U2, U5, U7, U8, U9, U55) on their way to the centre.
Airport Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF): Berlin-Schönefeld is located southeast of the city centre and is only ten minutes from Humboldt's Campus Adlershof, where the conference will take place. The airport is connected by the suburban train line S8/S9 (to Greifswalder Straße passing S41/S42), one express bus service X7 (to U7 Rudow) and a special rate bus service SXF1 (EUR 6,- connecting to Berlin-Südkreuz: S41/S42).
Long-distance rail lines connect Berlin with all major cities in Germany and Europe. Regional rail lines provide access to the surrounding regions of Brandenburg and to the Baltic Sea. Berlin-Hauptbahnhof is the central station and located in the city centre with excellent public transport connections (suburban train lines S3, S5, S75, underground line U55 and many bus lines).
"Berlin Linien Bus" connects Berlin with many cities in Germany and Europe. For details please refer to their website.
All participants registered for the main conference will receive a ticket for the zones Berlin A and B for September 25-29, 2011. Please note the stop Airport Berlin-Schönefeld is in zone C and you will need to validate an extra ticket.
A single ticket for zones A and B is EUR 2,30. Please refer to the BVG website for details.
