Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Conference Venue: Erwin Schrödinger-Zentrum

The Erwin Schrödinger-Zentrum at the Campus Adlershof will host TPDL 2011. The Schrödinger-Zentrum is home to the Computer and Media Services (the university's computer center). It is close to the Department of Computer Science and houses a shared computing and library facility. The Schrödinger-Zentrum has high-tech lecture rooms and excellent wireless internet access.

The Campus Adlershof is located in the south-east of Berlin since 1991. It is one of the largest science and technology parks in Europe, including 12 non-university research institutions and more than 400 technology companies. The Campus Adlershof has over 6.000 students and approximately 1.000 academic and other university staff. Its modern, well equipped buildings are well suited for big congresses and since 2003 more than 50 congresses, workshops and conferences have taken place there.

Bus 164 to Magnusstraße

From Adlershof Station please exit the station in the direction of Rudower Chaussee / Dörpfeldstraße. You can either then turn left and walk about 7 min to the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum. Or you take one of the new tram lines: 60 or 61 (Karl-Ziegler-Str.) that run every 10 minutes. Another option is to walk down Rudower Chaussee (to the left) a bit to the bus stops (on the right hand side): bus 162 (Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld) or 164 (U Rudow) run every 10 minutes (morning and afternoon). Get off Magnusstraße.
Make sure to not underestimate distances in Berlin and plan sufficient time for your journey (example: Friedrichstraße Station to Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum: approx. 50 min.). The BVG journey planner will help you!

By car

Coming from the A10 Berlin Circular Motorway

at the Schönefelder Kreuz Interchange turn into the A113 towards Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld, exit Adlershof, follow Wegedornstraße up to Rudower Chaussee

Coming from the Urban Motorway

follow the A113 Urban Motorway in a southward direction (Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld), exit Adlershof, follow Wegedornstraße up to Rudower Chaussee

Coming from the City Centre (Alexanderplatz)

follow the 96a main road towards Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld, then either:
turn right at Schöneweide S-Bahn Station, then left into Groß-Berliner Damm and go up to Rudower Chaussee
or (further south) turn right into Köpenicker Straße, then right into Am Studio and go up to Rudower Chaussee

Attention!
Rudower Chaussee is blocked at Adlershof S-Bahn Station due to construction works. An approach by car from Adlergestell is only possible from Sterndamm / Groß-Berliner Damm and Köpenicker Straße / Straße am Studio.
